Robert Thobaben
During WWII Robert Thobaben served served in the 111th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Battalion. He began as a litter bearer and ended up as an aid man for M Company participating in three Pacific campaigns—the Gilbert Islands in 1943, the Marshall Islands in 1944, and the Palau Islands in 1945 receiving the combat medic badge and Bronze Star medal.Thobaben was a Professor Emeritus of Political Science at Wright State University (WSU) in Dayton, Ohio, where he taught from August of 1964 to November of 2006 teaching classes on Political Philosophy, Ideology, and Theory. He was the author, co-author, and editor of 6 books and 40 or more articles published in professional journals, magazines, and newspapers.
